My plan for this month's A-to-Z-Challenge is to provide myself with a series of fairly random prompts for each letter, (a song, a movie, a quotation, and a word), and then to see what thoughts or memories come to mind. Thanks for visiting Quid Pro Quo! I hope it is enjoyable for you. I invite any comments you may have about any of the prompts or about the thoughts or memories which they inspire.

The proper order of things is often a mystery to me. You, too? (Cheshire Cat)

The quote for today reminds me of one Halloween when I was a grad student in literature at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Though I was in the English Department, I spent a lot of time with the Theater folks, and that year they invited me to be a part of their haunted house. They put me in this suit... the bottom half was a huge mushroom, and the top half was the body of a caterpillar. And they gave me a hookah and put these long, long green gloves on me. It was the gloves that really got me into the role. Something about elbow-length gloves really changes a guy's attitude. So I puffed the hookah all evening and night and blew out smoke-ring vowel-sounds and made cryptic remarks to the visitors to the haunted house. It was great fun.
Got a photo? I'd love to see it!!!
