"Using “grouch” for inspiration, write 100 Words – 100 exactly – no more, no less. You can either use the word – or any form of the word – as one of your 100, or it can be implied."
I came to the conclusion some years ago that a key, telling difference between men and women is this: women are dissatisfied, whereas men are disgruntled.
It’s nigh on impossible to pin down exactly what words mean, but here are some working definitions.
To be dissatisfied is to be displeased, especially by the failure of something expected or desired to manifest.
To be disgruntled is to be displeased and discontented; sulky; peevish.
What do you think? Am I right? Is there something to this distinction?
Both dissatisfaction and disgruntlement could be said to be forms of grouchiness.
What say you?

I think you might be onto something.
